Sometimes simple is the best, and stones offer us this simplicity of life. A guided spiritual tool, for working grounded and present.

A Handful of Quiet by Thich Nhat Hanh is a short book. Simple and beautiful.

It is a book for parents, guiding pebble meditations that can be done together with one’s children using the illustrations and guidance within the book.

The practice offered invites the reader to work with four pebbles.

The first represents a flower.

The second represents a mountain.

The third represents calm water.

The fourth represents space.

The book offers simple meditations combining breathing with the pebbles, and the deep symbolic representation of each stone.

For example:

“Breathing in, I see myself as
The big blue sky, with lots of space
in and around me

Breathing out, I feel very free
and at ease”

A perfect tool for those connected to stones (have you ever met a child who did not connect to stones?).
