A list of books for parents of spiritually aware children and teens:

I wish there were only one book, comprehensive and thorough, that I could recommend here, but there isn’t. Instead, there are many books to read and from which to select what works for you and your family.

What perspective or tools meet your heart? About self-referencing

As all children are spiritually aware or at least walk with the potential, it would be impossible for only one book to provide the needed guidance for everyone. Many children are spiritually aware, inviting us to align our energetic vibration with them. They share an expanded consciousness, and yet, they are also so unique and different from one another.

With the spirit of self-referencing that I hope emerges from everything I write, read each of these books knowing that they can inspire you, help you understand, and provide tools, but! But! You also must self-reference, contemplate, and avoid labeling or using these tools until you sit with them and feel within that this is indeed the explanation, tool, or perspective you wish to take with your spiritually aware child or family on your shared journey of growth.

Each of our children chose specific parents for this lifetime.

The parent they chose is not the book’s author, healer, or teacher. It is you—whether you birthed her/him/them physically or from your heart. Self-reference…

I learned to respect and appreciate each child’s choices in my journey as a mother, which went through a car crash, NDE, and then away and unable to be the mother I promised my daughters I would be for months.

I share my story and its teachings on what spiritually aware parenting is and the universal promises we all made to our children in The Promise We Made Book.

"Choosing to parent with awareness and intent, walking consciously, and turning parenting into a journey is what transforms parenting into a dancing quest. It is unlike any other journey life on Earth offers us." Quote from The Promise We Made Book by Efrat Shokef

This list is far from a complete list. It is a place to start. I intentionally included a variety of perspectives. Including some, I don’t fully relate to myself, as often the reading of something that does not fit the way we chose to parent is equally significant for our growth.

Some books offer a more theoretical perspective, and others offer practical guidance. Self-reference…
