What is “energy,” and why should we take care of our energy field?
In very simplified terms, there are energy layers beyond our skin’s physical borders. These layers are part of our bodies. They extend beyond the physical yet they inform our physical state, mood, and ability to manifest, as well as many other aspects of our lives.
Any information we encounter passes through our energy field. When our field is healthy, and our energy is flowing, so are our thoughts, feelings, and actions. When it’s not, listening to our own inner knowing is difficult.
Why do children need to know how to care for their energy field.
We teach our children how to brush their teeth and why it is important.
We tell them to wash their hands before eating.
We read books to them and then encourage them to read and deepen their ability to evolve in our world. We teach them biology and how our physical body functions.
An energetic parallel would be teaching our children to cleanse their energetic bodies. Cleansing the densities of frustration, anger, hurt, disappointment, or the stress accumulated throughout their day.
Reminding them (and ourselves) to stop for a second and be attentive to what is right for them at any given moment, by using the most available tool we all walk with: breath.
Or, if we consider learning about our physical body, we can also teach our children how the energetic body works, how to care for it, and how to ground (and when not to ground), how to re-connect with nature and walk the possible, all resulting in being able to walk present and centered—knowing how to silence the noise around us and not let it distract us from our walk.
