Dear Me,
Lately, I’ve been invited to take another step toward deeper healing.
Where you are, over ten years in the past, you are focused on your physical healing. You have yet to be able to stop and explore that profound experience that accompanied the car crash. Yes, that experience of LOVE, you will soon learn, has a name and is called a near-death experience.
Focusing on your physical healing is what you should be doing now. You will have time to work with other layers of healing soon enough.
But then, you must never forget about the physical either.
Yes. Your deep healing. The healing that your soul, our soul, is seeking is that of the energetic. We strive to heal not only what we walk now, in this lifetime, but also what we walked in past lifetimes. We wish to explore the wounds we carry, how they affect and limit our ability to experience this lifetime, and let whatever does not serve us…go. Release, and release again. And some more.
At the energetic layer, we should also never forget to embrace our gifts. To stop hiding. To stop being afraid to be who we are. You, who is I. I, who is you.
It is a long healing journey. Long and rewarding, which I did not expect when I was like you, still trying to manage tremendous pain and total dependence on others.
But, dear me. Today I write to ask you not to neglect your physical being when you embrace the energetic. Sometimes, that happens to me. I’m so embraced by these beautiful energies that I forget to care for my physical self.
You see, they go together, and indeed are one. It is not enough to heal at the energetic level or infuse yourself with the brightest of healing lights. You—who is I—must continuously care for this vehicle that carries us here—our body.
As if we don’t, some possibilities will be withheld.
Healing, for those who choose to take it to the fullest, must go as deep as possible at all layers of our existence. The physical to the energetic. Nutrition and exercise and stress-free lifestyle choices, to the energetic healing of all that we brought with us to heal, together with the infusion of the beautiful energies available to us as nourishment. Those of mother earth. Those of heaven. Those of connection, compassion, gratitude, and beauty.
Walk them all.
One step at a time.
Then, you’ll know what walking whole feels like.
Today, I, who is you, am reminding myself to take care of myself too.
Love you. As you are. As you can be. From the now to the possible.

While writing these Notes (I wish) I Wrote to Myself, I found myself bringing the teachings offered by my parenting journey and Near Death Experience into writing. The result is The Promise We Made: Three Universal Soul Promises We Made to Our Children 🙂
